What is Sony PlayStation Now?
PlayStation Now is a cloud gaming or game streaming service. PlayStation Now allows you to play video games streamed to your PC and either streamed or downloaded to your PS4 console. You do not need a PS4 console to get started on PlayStation Now for PC.
The PlayStation Now platform offers a console in the cloud for Windows PCs. PlayStation Now offers users access to a large library of PS4, PS3, and PS2 games that can be played while they’re offered on the platform.
To get started with streaming games on PlayStation Now to your PC or PS4 console, as with all cloud gaming platforms, make sure you have a good, stable internet connection and the basic hardware required to play.
How do I play PlayStation Now for PC?
To get started on PlayStation Now for PC, create a PlayStation Network account and download the Windows PC client. PlayStation Now for PC requires a gamepad to play and Sony only recommends the DualShock 4 controller for games requiring the controller’s touchpad.
Once logged in, search through the game library of PlayStation Now games and launch the title you would like to play. Once a game exits the PlayStation Now library, it can no longer be streamed to your PC.
Sony recommends that you have stable internet speeds of 5 Mbps or greater to use the platform, which means you should be ready to use 2-3 GB/hr at a minimum. This minimum is a bit lower than recommended by other cloud gaming providers and users should ideally have higher, stable internet connections to enjoy their game streaming experience.
PlayStation Now for PC is currently only supported on Windows, while the platform is also available to PS4 console owners.

Assuming you already own a Windows computer or PS4 console with and internet speeds of at least 5 Mbps, you can sign up for PlayStation Now and start your 7-day free trial today. Sony reports that you will need a gamepad to play on your PC, recommending the DualShock 4 controller.
